Beach art #42 : Tapisseries Londoniennes

Being in London for a few more days, I once again took advantage of this sandbank on the Southbank side on the banks of the Thames. I didn’t really have any ideas before arriving on the site and I admit having spent a little time on this improvised stretch of beach thinking about what I could do. Then I started without much conviction and I started to draw on the sand some sort of arcs of circles one on top of the other. Once done, I said to myself: why not fill them with smaller arcs of circles, which would overlap each other. Once I got back up to start taking some pictures, I was quite surprised at the result and thought to myself that there was something in the idea. In fact, without knowing it, I had just made patterns for the first time, which would quickly become my trademark!
